Job Description
Copa Health is seeking an experienced physician executive to serve as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for one of Arizona's leading integrated behavioral healthcare organizations. The CMO provides executive leadership for psychiatric, behavioral health, nursing, and integrated primary care services while driving clinical quality, provider engagement, regulatory compliance, and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Lead medical strategy and clinical operations across multiple service lines. Oversee psychiatrists, physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers. Ensure compliance with AHCCCS, Medicare, Medicaid, accreditation, and regulatory requirements. Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives. Partner with executive leadership to improve clinical outcomes, operational performance, and financial sustainability. Maintain a limited clinical caseload. Qualifications MD or DO. Board Certified Psychiatrist (ABPN). Arizona medical license (or ability to obtain). DEA registration. 10+ years of psychiatric practice experience. 5+ years of physician leadership experience. Experience leading multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
