Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Records Director, where you will lead the management and integrity of patient medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the efficiency of medical documentation processes. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the accurate, secure, and confidential handling of medical information, supporting quality patient care and operational excellence. Your expertise will drive the development of streamlined record-keeping practices and foster a culture of meticulous attention to detail across the organization. Duties Oversee the organization, maintenance, and security of all medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements Implement and monitor policies for record accuracy, confidentiality, and retention periods Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure seamless documentation workflows and data integrity Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and procedures Conduct audits to verify completeness and compliance of medical records, addressing discrepancies promptly Train staff on proper documentation procedures, EHR usage, and privacy protocols Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and other applicable standards Requirements Proven experience in medical office administration or healthcare records management Strong knowledge of EHR systems and medical terminology Familiarity with legal requirements related to medical records retention, privacy, and security Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for training staff and liaising with clinical teams Bachelor's degree in health information management, healthcare administration or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our healthcare delivery system. Pay:
$35.00 - $42.00 per hour
