Associate Medical Director Job Summary:
The Associate Medical Director is primarily responsible for providing quality care to our patients in the community, provide skilled management and leadership, implement strategic functions for the clinic and its satellite locations that results in effective planning, monitoring of the quality of healthcare in our underserved community, and resource utilization across all departments.Job Duties:
This position is responsible for the following: Provide assessment, primary care, and continuity of care to patients. Establishing medical/clinical protocols. Supervise mid-level providers and clinic physicians to ensure the quality of medical services provided to patients. Train and develop mid-level providers and clinic physicians through protocols, policies and procedures, and direct coaching. Identify opportunities to collaborate with other medical institutions that will benefit the company as well as offer the highest quality of care to our community. Develop innovative, strategic business propositions that improves the accessibility of the clinic's medical resources, provides better services to our surrounding underserved communities, and achieves business goals and objectives. Identify the ever-growing medical needs of the community and strategically implement new specialties and practices to offer more services and quality care Ensure medical staff including mid-level providers and clinic physicians comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and codes. Develop, implement, and continuously improve substance abuse and pain management programs to offer our patients. Provide clinical perspective, analysis, and guidance in relation to risk management and any medical liability and/or malpractice claims. Identify applicable grants offered on a federal, state, or national level to offset expenses. Provide general medical care to patients. Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine diagnosis, create and implement treatment plans, and prescribe medication as needed. Collaborate with other mid-level providers and physicians to discuss and address difficult patient issues. Conduct, attend, and contribute to committee meetings including medical staff meetings. Coordinate continuous educational trainings and professional programs to all mid-level providers and physicians to maintain quality care. Remain up to date on medical trends and regulations. Address and/or resolve patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with established standards and practice. Interpret, explain, and communicate new applicable federal and/or state laws and regulations to all medical/non-medical staff to maintain compliance. Be a part of the interview panel for recruitment of new physicians, providers and other mid-level medical staffing. Execute daily effective and optimal patient care management. All other duties assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to handle multi-functions. Promotes and believes in SFMC. Ability to demonstrate extensive and thorough knowledge and skills in the medical practice. Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Doctorate of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited school/university required. Obtain and maintain valid Medical License in the State of California. Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is highly desired, but not required. DEA Certification required. At least 3 years of extensive experience in a medical setting. Thorough knowledge in federal and state laws that govern clinical practices as well as providers. Innovative ability to develop new clinical programs that are in line with the clinic's goals and objectives. Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and direction. Must have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients that may be stressed, anxious, and difficult. Ability to work as a team. Must have strong computer skills. Must demonstrate detailed, effective writing/documentation and verbal skills.Pay:
$340,000.00 - $430,000.00 per yearBenefits:
