Job Description Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the Medical Director will oversee the health care services in their department; assure quality care, resolution of patient concerns, strive for department profitability, while leading and managing the clinical team. With the support of the Director of Clinical Operations (DCO), they will manage work performance of support staff to include training, staff development, work distribution, performance appraisals, adherence to clinic policies and procedures, work schedule, and praise or disciplinary procedures. Required Qualifications Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree Current CA state medical license

license Completed an accredited residency program Current DEA certificate 3 years of experience in leadership 5 years of experience as a clinician Board certified in primary care Current CPR certification Responsibilities Provide direct patient care Provide consultation to PA/NP providers Oversee the health care services provided in his/her department Manage the clinical staff of assigned department or programs Ensure that in the absence of a primary care provider that a mechanism is established so that a physician is available to review lab and x-ray reports; prescriptions and follow-up medical care is accomplished Ensures adequate continuity of care through coordinated coverage by medical staff Provides a process for proper supervision of new clinician staff.
