Full-Time Salary Range:
$75,000•$80,000 annually Join Our Leadership Team! PACS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regional Medical Records Director to support our Central Valley skilled nursing facilities. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and company regulations while maintaining accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation. Key Responsibilities Oversee and support medical records operations across multiple facilities Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state regulations Audit medical records for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Provide training and guidance to facility medical records staff Monitor and improve documentation practices and processes Assist facilities with survey readiness and regulatory compliance Collaborate with nursing leadership, MDS, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain policies and procedures related to health information management Support implementation and optimization of EHR systems (PCC preferred) Identify and resolve documentation and compliance issues Travel to facilities within the Central Valley region as needed Qualifications Previous experience in Medical Records / Health Information Management in SNF setting required Regional or multi-site experience preferred Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, HIPAA, and SNF documentation standards Experience with EHR systems (PointClickCare preferred) Strong auditing, organizational, and analytical skills Excellent communication and training abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple facilities Preferred Credentials RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent certification (preferred) Experience supporting surveys and regulatory audits Work Environment This position involves both remote and on-site work within skilled nursing facilities across the Central Valley region.
