care Family medicine Full Job Description Company Description Care 4 U Community Health Center is a nonprofit organization established in 2013 in Liberty City, Florida. Originally formed as a case management agency for people living with HIV/AIDS, today, Care 4 U is a full-fledged community health center, with two locations, providing a wide range of healthcare and preventive services, aimed at reducing health disparities and improving health outcomes in the communities we serve. Role Description The Medical Director will oversee clinical operations, provide medical expertise, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include leading medical teams, developing healthcare policies, collaborating with physicians, and integrating clinical practices to optimize health outcomes. This is a part-time (16-20 hours per week) on-site role located in Miami, FL, within the Care 4 U Community Health Center.

Core Responsibilities:

Clinical Oversight:

Supervise and guide our mid-level practitioners and clinical staff.

Chart Review & Compliance:

Conduct routine chart reviews to ensure adherence to CMS and Florida state healthcare regulations.

Policy Development:

Assist in developing, implementing, and updating clinical protocols.

Provider Development & Leadership:

Provide mentorship, clinical guidance, and performance feedback for nurse practitioners while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment Clinical Quality Management (CQM): Participate in CQM activities and provide input on ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Florida Medical License (MD or DO). Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty. 5+ years of clinical experience; previous leadership or supervising physician experience. 2+ years of

HIV/AIDS

care and prevention (including PrEP) experience; Strong working knowledge of healthcare compliance, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and electronic medical records (EMR). Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening Preferred Qualifications AAHIVM Certification and/or Ryan White program experience strongly preferred. Knowledge and experience with behavioral health and substance abuse treatment medications is a plus Experience working at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) or FQHC Look-a-Like Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) Additional considerations: May not serve as the Medical Director for more than five (5) healthcare clinics with a cumulative total of more than 200 employees and persons under contract with the healthcare clinic May not serve as a Medical Director at another healthcare clinic that is more than 200 miles from Care 4 U Community Health Center.

Pay:

$90.00 - $125.00 per hour
