MEDICAL DIRECTOR - THRIVE DECATUR

Partnering with the practice manager and leadership team, you'll develop strategies, implement improvements, and guide our hospital towards excellence in patient and client care, while supporting staff development. You'll support and mentor veterinarians at your hospital toward achieving medical excellence and enhancing patient care and outcomes through close collaboration with practice managers and hospital leadership. You're willing and able to lead by example clinically, mentor veterinarians and support staff, perform high quality medicine and surgery, build strong client relationships, and partner with hospital leadership to drive a thriving, collaborative culture. You're willing and able to balance an active caseload with the responsibilities of medical leadership, and you understand that the best Medical Directors make everyone around them better. About Thrive Decatur We're a general practice hospital located in Decatur, Georgia, focusing on comprehensive primary care, preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and select urgent care services. Our facility includes four exam rooms, a spacious surgical suite, two dedicated dental stations, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in house laboratory capabilities, and a newly installed ultrasound system that offers exciting opportunities for future growth and expanded services. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others, developing teams, and helping shape the future direction of a hospital. You will partner closely with a supportive leadership team, including a recently appointed Practice Manager and Regional Operations leadership, to continue building a culture centered on exceptional patient care, team development, and operational excellence.   • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
  • Strong surgical and clinical skills with a passion for mentorship and team development preferred
