Job Description

Lead A Dynamic Team at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as our newest Hospitalist Program Medical Director. We believe in bringing "better" to our local community in Cedar Rapids —better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. We are hiring a program medical director to serve in both a clinical and leadership capacity.
Local Team Collaboration:
Join our close-knit team of 14 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers at Mercy Medical Center. We have enjoyed our partnership with Mercy Medical Center since 2015 and are a trusted and consulted team on many hospital-wide initiatives. We value our collaboration with the nurses and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront.
Qualifications:
Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine. Minimum of four years in hospital medicine as a leader in an associate medical director or director-level role. We proudly sponsor H1B visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound. •At this time, we can only consider H1B visa candidates.
Scheduling:
A combination of clinical and administrative time. 8 clinical shifts per month, and 84 hours a month of protected administrative time.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide oversight and leadership to a team of seasoned providers collaborate with both Sound Physicians leaders, as well as hospital leaders, in meeting key goals in care delivery and quality metrics Living and Working in
