Program Medical Director Hospital Medicine Cedar Rapids, Iowa Lead an Established Hospital Medicine Program in One of Iowa's Most Vibrant Communities We are seeking an experienced Program Medical Director to provide clinical and operational leadership for a well-established hospital medicine team at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Position Highlights Blend of clinical practice and leadership responsibilities 8 clinical shifts per month 84 hours of protected administrative time monthly Opportunity to influence program growth, quality initiatives, and operational excellence Established and experienced provider team Leadership Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for a seasoned hospital medicine team Partner with hospital administration and leadership to achieve organizational goals Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient care outcomes Support provider engagement, mentorship, recruitment, and retention Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Minimum of 2 years of hospital medicine leadership experience in an Associate Medical Director, Medical Director, or similar leadership role Strong communication, team-building, and operational leadership skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Leadership stipend Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package Professional development and leadership support Living in Cedar Rapids Cedar Rapids offers an exceptional quality of life with a welcoming, diverse community and affordable cost of living.
