Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our leadership team in the role of Director-Information Services, Medical Device Integration. The Director - Information Services, Medical Device Integration leads the operational health, performance, and stability of Information Services teams supporting enterprise clinical technology and connected medical device ecosystems. This role ensures alignment of IS strategy, projects, and investments with business objectives and clinical care delivery needs across complex healthcare environments. Responsibilities include : Leading enterprise medical device integration (MDI) and clinical systems operations, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of connected device and EMR ecosystems Aligning IS initiatives and investment outcomes with clinical workflows, patient safety goals, and business priorities Building strong partnerships with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to effectively deploy resources in a matrixed organization Establishing performance metrics and monitors trends to drive continuous improvement in system performance, workflow efficiency, and clinical outcomes Directing teams responsible for device integration, interoperability, and infrastructure, fostering accountability, engagement, and high performance Championing standardization, governance, and best practices for connected medical devices and clinical system integration Driving innovation and transformation in medical device connectivity, interoperability (e.g., EMR/HL7), and real-time clinical data exchange Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while advancing cybersecurity and risk mitigation strategies for connected devices Communicating a clear strategic vision for medical device integration and clinical technology, leading change to achieve enterprise-wide adoption and value Reports to: Vice President - Clinical Information Services Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Requires 7-10 years of relevant management experience in a business or clinical systems environment and familiarity with process/performance improvement methodologies, system implementations, and workflow analysis. Preferred experience leading enterprise-scale medical device integration (MDI) programs across acute care or multi-hospital health systems. Preferred knowledge of clinical workflows and patient monitoring systems, with demonstrated ability to align technology with frontline care delivery. Preferred experience with Epic platforms and integration of medical devices into EMR workflows. Preferred experience establishing MDI governance frameworks, device onboarding processes, and standard operating procedures across enterprise environments. Requires prior management experience in a complex, matrix organization. Requires a demonstrated fundamental understanding of project accounting and financial management. Knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines preferred. Preferred experience with contractor and vendor management. We are an equal opportunity employer.
