(No job ID provided) Join us to provide emergency care at Franciscan Health Lafayette East in Lafayette, Indiana. This locum tenens role with SCP Health covers Emergency Medicine shifts starting July 1, 2026 and ongoing. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided. What you'll be working with A 33‑bed Emergency Department that includes 3 trauma bays and 13 cardiac‑monitor beds. Level III trauma center supporting about 50,000 ED visits per year. Specialty backup from ENT, Orthopedics, and
GYN. NP/PA
coverage for roughly 36 hours per day and scribe support to streamline documentation. Your core responsibilities Deliver high‑quality emergency care across a busy 33‑bed department. Evaluate and manage patients in trauma bays and specialty care rooms. Perform moderate sedation when indicated. Collaborate closely with NP/PAs and use scribe support. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case logs. What we're looking for Board certified in ABEM/AOBEM or another ABMS‑recognized specialty with at least five years of continuous full‑time experience in a high‑volume ED (>30,000 visits/year). Recent EM residency graduates (within 12 months) or internal medicine physicians with five years of comparable ED experience are also considered. Active, unrestricted Indiana medical license. Active Indiana State Controlled Substance registration and DEA with an Indiana address, covering schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, and 4. BLS certification.
Required health documentation:
current seasonal flu shot, TB test within the past 12 months (or chest X‑ray if TB positive), COVID vaccination, case logs for the past two years, and completed CME attestation form. Shift details and reason for hire Emergency Medicine shifts to provide coverage for the department.
