Lead the Future of Integrated Primary Care Valley Oaks Health is seeking a Medical Director of Primary Care to provide clinical leadership, drive quality outcomes, and advance integrated care across our organization. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping the future of primary care delivery while supporting our mission to serve diverse and underserved communities. What You'll Do Clinical Leadership & Quality Oversight Establish and maintain evidence-based clinical standards and protocols Drive performance on UDS, HEDIS, and value-based care metrics Lead quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes Ensure compliance with HRSA, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards Review clinical outcomes, safety events, and quality data Integrated Care Advancement Co-lead integration of primary care, behavioral health, and substance use services Support collaborative care models and routine screening initiatives Promote coordinated care, warm handoffs, and team-based workflows Help develop innovative care models that improve patient outcomes Provider Leadership & Workforce Development Recruit, mentor, and support primary care providers Establish productivity, access, and performance expectations Conduct performance evaluations tied to quality and patient experience Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and growth Operational & Access Improvement Improve patient access through scheduling optimization and panel management Collaborate with operational leaders to enhance clinic workflow Monitor key metrics such as cycle time and appointment availability Reduce no-show rates and improve visit utilization Strategic Growth & Community Engagement Support expansion of clinical programs and services Identify community needs and develop innovative service offerings Participate in strategic planning and organizational leadership Represent Valley Oaks Health in community partnerships Direct Patient Care Provide direct clinical services consistent with specialty training Estimated direct care expectation: 40-60%
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications MD or DO with active Indiana medical license (or eligibility) Valid Indiana Driver's License with acceptable driving record Strong clinical expertise in primary care Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of physician leadership experience Experience working in FQHC or underserved populations Knowledge of value-based care, quality metrics, and integrated care models Experience leading quality improvement initiativesJob Type:
