Job Description

Overview Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services. Responsibilities The Director of Osteopathic Education Faculty for the Family Medicine Residency educates and trains family medicine residents. The Director of Osteopathic Education has additional responsibilities to ensure that all residents that desire and qualify for participation on the Osteopathic Recognition Track have an appropriate educational experience. Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.
DO or MD degree from an accredited medical school. 2. Board certification in Family Medicine (Preferred). 3. Certification through the AOA or qualifications judged acceptable by the ACGME Osteopathic Recognition Committee. 4. Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in Maine. 5. Two years of experience as a practicing physician, with prior teaching experience preferred.
