The Director will provide strategic oversight of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, including preparing the accreditation application¸ designing the program and curriculum, working directly with our clinical partner and managing the recruitment, application and enrollment process for the program. The director will also provide oversight to faculty and will work directly with our clinical partner to secure required clinical equipment and to consult on the design of educational space. The Director will report to the NDSU Director of Allied Sciences and will serve as a direct liaison to our clinical partner.Appointment Type:
Full-time, 12-month,Non-Tenure Track Hiring Range:
$85,000-$110,000 Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with two (2) years of clinical experience
- Teaching experience in diagnostic medical sonography in the clinical or educational setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dual certifications in Radiological Sciences & Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Master's degree in Health-Related Field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography education or program administration
- Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes (CAAHEP/JRC-DMS preferred)
- Leadership experience in academic or healthcare settings
- Experience in starting a new Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program including, but not limited to, developing program curriculum, recruiting/hiring program faculty, implementing the accreditation process
