Gastroenterologist - Hospital Employed Division HC - Providers (Physicians) Location Newark, New Jersey Employment Type Permanent A hospital system in New Jersey is actively recruiting a Gastroenterologist to support growing inpatient and outpatient GI volume as the system transitions services from private groups to an in house hospital based model. This is a high volume, general GI opportunity based on a modern hospital campus with flexibility around employment structure and title.

Fully hospital based Gastroenterology Clinic, procedures, and inpatient consults all performed on site No ASC work - all cases remain in house
Primary Site:
Majority of GI volume based out of a newer, well built campus
Scope of Practice:
General Gastroenterology No advanced or highly subspecialized GI required Strong fit for early career physicians looking to build volume quickly
Hiring Flexibility:
Open to full time or per diem Gastroenterologists Title and structure can be flexible/creative as services are brought in house
Growth Strategy:
System historically relied on private GI groups Strategic initiative underway to internalize GI services and grow long term volume
Job Requirements:
MD or DO, Board Certified / Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Eligible for New Jersey medical licensure Comfortable in a hospital based, high volume general GI setting Interest in helping build and stabilize an in house GI program
