Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 1 weekend/month

Partner with Inspira Health and CFG Health Network, a physician-led organization Position The Center for Family Guidance, in partnership with Inspira Medical Center Mannington, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry to lead our multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality psychiatric care while providing clinical oversight, driving program development, and making a meaningful impact in an underserved South Jersey community. Highlights
Community hospital serving Salem County and the surrounding South Jersey region
26-bed inpatient behavioral health unit (20 voluntary beds, 6 involuntary beds)
Collegial, multidisciplinary behavioral health environment
EMR:
Cerner, but switching to EPIC in July
Team-based approach with Advanced Practice Provider support
Flexible schedule options available
Monday - Friday daytime schedule during regular business hours
Separate after-hours and weekend coverage team
Opportunity for both inpatient and consultative behavioral health services, depending on organizational needs
Leadership role with the ability to shape clinical programming and care delivery
Located in a J-1 waiver-friendly, underserved service area

Provide clinical leadership and oversight for inpatient psychiatric services
Deliver direct patient care including psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, APPs, nursing, and social work
Develop and implement clinical protocols, workflows, and quality initiatives
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
Participate in program development and strategic planning
Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of clinical staff
Provide consultation services as needed within the hospital
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified in Psychiatry (required for Medical Director role)
Active New Jersey medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA license required
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Experience in inpatient psychiatry strongly preferred
