This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, patient flow, staff engagement, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance across both ED sites operating under a shared staffing model. The Director will serve as a key leader in shaping culture, strengthening team performance, and ensuring consistent, high-quality emergency care delivery in a fast-paced acute care environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 24/7 operational leadership for two emergency departments across multiple hospital sites Lead overall strategy for patient flow, staffing, quality, and departmental performance Build strong relationships with physicians and interdisciplinary hospital leaders Drive employee engagement, retention, and leadership development Oversee quality improvement initiatives, compliance, and regulatory readiness Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing models, and productivity targets Partner across service lines including Behavioral Health, ICU, and Med-Surg to optimize throughput Lead culture-building efforts focused on accountability, communication, and teamwork Support community outreach and hospital visibility initiatives Ensure consistent follow-through on operational and staff concerns Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN required; enrollment with completion plan acceptable if not yet completed) Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience At least 2-3 years of leadership or management experience in a hospital setting Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field Prior Emergency Department leadership experience strongly preferred Certification in nursing leadership or clinical specialty preferred Ideal Candidate Profile We are seeking a highly visible, hands-on nursing leader with strong Emergency Department experience and a proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is confident, approachable, and highly accountable—someone who builds trust with frontline staff while driving operational results and consistency.
