Operating in a dyad leadership model with the Medical Director(s), this role ensures patients receive timely, high‑quality care while delivering an exceptional patient experience. This leader is responsible for the consistent, compliant, and financially sustainable operation of Trinity Surgical and Medical Services and other assigned practices, while building strong provider relationships and advancing system‑wide goals. The Director is a key member of the Physician Enterprise leadership team and partners closely with physicians, executive leaders, and operational teams across the system. Key Responsibilities Lead operational, financial, and clinical performance for surgical and medical specialty practices Partner with Medical Directors in a dyad model to ensure high‑quality, timely patient care Oversee all practice management functions, ensuring consistency, reliability, and compliance Develop and manage clinical staffing models, provider on‑call schedules, and hospital coverage Collaborate with Acute Ministry leadership to optimize hospital coverage and OR utilization Develop and manage annual capital and operating budgets in partnership with Finance Track, analyze, and explain MTD/YTD financial variances; provide forecasting and reporting monthly Drive revenue cycle excellence through collaboration with revenue cycle leaders and managers Ensure compliance with NYS Department of Health regulations and Joint Commission standards Integrate newly acquired practices and support development of new clinical programs Promote the effective use of IT systems, including Epic EMR Build trust, visibility, and engagement across provider and staff teams Lead change initiatives in a complex healthcare environment Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required Master's Degree (MBA, MHA, MSM, or MSHA) required CMPE or FACHE preferred Experience Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare management experience Direct leadership experience in ambulatory surgical and/or medical specialty practices Experience in private practice or health‑system‑owned multi‑specialty groups Demonstrated P&L responsibility and financial leadership in a clinical setting Clinical experience in surgical or medical specialties required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Expert knowledge of physician practice operations, finance, and regulatory requirements Strong revenue cycle, reimbursement, and physician practice management experience Proven success driving financial performance, market growth, and revenue optimization Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and data interpretation skills Knowledge of Epic EMR and healthcare information systems Strong background in change management and systems integration Exceptional relationship‑building skills with physicians, executive leaders, and staff Hands‑on leadership style with strong judgment, initiative, and decision‑making ability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance Why Join Catholic Health Executive‑level leadership role with significant organizational impact Mission‑driven organization focused on patient‑centered, high‑quality care Collaborative dyad leadership model with physician partners Opportunity to influence system‑wide strategy, growth, and innovation Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Equal Opportunity Employer Catholic Health is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of employment.
