Job Description

Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Medical Education Position Summary Summary:
The Administrative Director of Medical Education (ADME) supervises the administration of all residency coordinators, medical students, GME and CME activity throughout the organization with respect to adherence to regulatory requirements. The ADME assists with personnel and budget planning, as well as collects, organizes and develops reports to external agencies. The ADME reports to the VP of Medical Education and is a liaison to the administrative committees of the medical schools (undergraduate medical education), ISMMS (residency / fellowship education), and
MSSNY / ACCME
(continuous medical education CME).
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Education Required
  • Must complete in-house orientation program
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent required with a minimum of ten years administrative/coordinator experience in a residency or medical education program. OR
  • Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of five years administrative/coordinator experience in a residency or medical education program Experience And Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Speaks, reads and writes English
  • Must have a high level of organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, often switching from one to another without loss of efficiency, accuracy and composure.
  • Consistently demonstrates excellent follow through.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to lead others.
  • Demonstrates an ability to work with minimal supervision and use good judgement.
  • Experience with Microsoft and Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in Residency Review regulations/standards.
  • Knowledgeable in CME regulations/standards.
License/Certifications Working Conditions Other information:

  • Carrying heavy objects.
  • Reaching to retrieve or file charts.
  • Long periods of time in front of the computer and on the phone.
