Job Description
Psychiatry Medical Director in OKCentral OK - Oklahoma City metroNear Will Rogers International Airport (OKC)10 miles to downtown Oklahoma CityPopulation of over 700,000 with an area of over 1.4 MNBA BasketballPsychiatry Medical Director for an outpatient behavioral health facility, with a URC which that requires some oversight and coverage support.
They are looking for a leader who is compassionate, collaborative, and committed to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented careURC setting allows individuals 18+ to de-escalate from a crisis state in a safe therapeutic environment.
With a goal of resolving the immediate crisis and stabilizing at the lowest level possible, services may also include meals/showers, detox screening, case management/peer services, and emergency medication.
The URC is located in the Recovery Center and is staffed 24/7/365 with a multidisciplinary team of a prescriber, nurse, licensed behavioral health practitioner, and peers with lived experience similar to the population served.
The URC currently has 8 chairs.
The prescriber and APRNs share week-long rotations of 24/7 coverage. This includes morning follow up via iPad (doesnt take more than 20 minutes), available for crisis support if needed.700.00 / week for coverage2 APRNs on staff15-20 patients / day - appointments are 30 minutes, follow ups are 15 minutes.
Must be willing to prescribe some controlled substances. There is not much, but there are cases where a patient may require them on a short-term basis.
EAP 10 sessions paid with licensed therapist for employee and/or family12 Wellness Days annually 1 designated Friday / month15 days PTO year one. Gross by 5 days / year at different milestones (After 2 years, after 5 years, after 10 years, etc.)11 holidays / year
