Enjoy working with the Geriatric population? We are a Primary Care company, seeking to hire a Medical Director - Physician to join or team to provide medical care within a skilled nursing Facility. We are looking for someone with the ability to cover our facilities in PA.
Responsibilities:
Performs medical review activities pertaining to utilization review, quality assurance, and medical review of complex medical services, ensuring timely and quality decision making. Provides medical expertise in the operation of approved quality improvement and utilization management programs in accordance with regulatory, state, and corporate requirements. Work directly with providers to mentor and educate them on our care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care quality Participate in various administrative, clinical staff meetings Develop and update policies and procedures Providing primary care to patients, as a secondary to the in-house provider Prescribe medications including narcotics and controlled substances when needed. Enhancing cooperation and coordination between Nurses, Physicians and relevant medical departments, to ensure the success of the institution
Requirements:
Medical degree from accredited program. Active NY license to practice in field.
