Job Description

Job summary: Under instruction of the Program Director, this position supervises interns and trainees and is responsible for providing a clinical experience within the parameters of the intern/trainee's degree and level of experience. Performs delegated responsibilities assigned by the Program Director, including but not limited to, performing supervisory reviews, overseeing crisis intervention, leading meetings, managing projects, and covering responsibilities in the Program Director's absence. Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships. Provides leadership and partners with management in order to achieve the goals, objectives, policies and procedures established by the agency and in accordance with the contract requirements. Provides leadership through a 3-6 month planning cycle. Maintains working knowledge of all BBS/BOP laws and regulations to ensure CGC training program meets these standards. Maintains working knowledge of agency policies and procedures, operational and clinical guidelines, HIPAA standards, documentation manual and Medi-Cal standards. Provides outside lectures to schools and other community agencies. Reduced caseload with oversight of interns. Provides evaluation, consultation and treatment for Child Guidance center, Inc.'s contract programs. Identifies and accepts special cases requiring treatment by an experienced staff member. Participates in key meetings and decisions as appropriate including, but not limited to, all mandatory agency meetings and quality assurance meetings.
Minimum requirements:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field from an accredited university; and post two years directly related experience in clinical supervision; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current California Licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Psychology required. Working knowledge of BBS/BOP laws and regulations required. Demonstrated compliance with ethical standards promoted by the Board of Behavioral Services, Board of Psychology, and the professional associations to which the supervisor's license entitles him/her to belong required.
