BOLD Health Medical Group is an innovative behavioral health treatment program located in Encinitas, CA. We work with adults on an outpatient basis, have an Intensive Outpatient Program that works with adults with co-occurring disorders and primary mental health diagnoses, and provide Psychiatric services to contracted residential treatment facilities in California. Our team consists of psychiatrists, physician assistants, marriage and family therapists, post-degree trainees, and support staff. Summary of Position:

The Psychiatric Physician Assistant delivers psychiatric care and clinical services to patients in the IOP and Outpatient programs, as well as virtually at PHP and residential treatment sites contracted for Medical Director services with BHMG. The Psychiatric Physician Assistant interacts with patients and families as well as other members of the treatment team in order to promote individualized, person-centered, and recovery-oriented treatment.

Medical Director Nature of Oversight/Supervision:

Attend group supervision weekly with CEO, Medical Director, and other psychiatric providers. Quarterly meetings with CEO and/or President to discuss progress.

range 24-40hrs/week

Pay :

$75-90/hr, commensurate with experience Job location: Hybrid with 2 days in Encinitas, CA office and 1-3 days available remote Job Duties (Competencies): Provides psychiatric services as needed to patients admitted and assigned to his/her care. Completes medical assessments and evaluations, inc. History and Physical assessments. Completes medication evaluations and ongoing medication management for adults Prescribes medication and addresses refill requests Provides ongoing prescriptive follow-up care Recommends, designs, and implements treatment plans. Diagnoses patients accurately and thoroughly. Documentation and prescribing utilizing an EHR. Managing patient care in collaboration with treatment team members. Coordination of care with internal providers as well as providers in the community. Peer-to-peer reviews with insurance on occasion. Follows policies and regulations as outlined by the board that governs license. Consults with CEO, President and Assistant Medical Director on a routine basis in support of organizational mission and vision. Any other duties assigned by BOLD Senior Management that relate to roles within BOLD.

Qualifications/Skills:

At least two year of prior experience in a psychiatric practice. Licensed within the state of California as a Physician Assistant, Certified Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to navigate conflicts and challenging situations effectively. Willingness to work as a team and provide reliable, professional, and responsible care to patients and their families. Ability to develop independence and make sound judgments. Strong ability to work within an EHR system. Experience with psychiatry required. Experience with substance use disorder treatment and recovery or other related fields. Proficiency with Google Suite preferred. Negative annual TB test or proof of treatment (DHCS requirement)

$75.00 - $90.00 per hour
