Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director for a new Substance Use/Mental Health IOP in Albuquerque, New Mexico - The Medical Director will oversee clinical protocols, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive initiatives aligned with regulatory standards and organizational goals. The role can be virtual or in-person. Duties Provide expert medical leadership. Collaborate with administration to improve patient care outcomes, and enhance service quality through evidence-based practices. Lead utilization management efforts by reviewing treatment plans, ensuring appropriate resource use, and aligning care with New Mexico regulations and healthcare standards. Supervise medical staff including nurse practitioners and nurses Perform peer reviews when required for insurance reviews.
