This role blends remote medical direction with periodic on‑site support for complex rehabilitation procedures, making it ideal for an experienced physiatrist who values both flexibility and hands‑on clinical engagement. As Medical Director, you will guide physiatric care standards, ensure documentation quality and compliance, and collaborate closely with facility teams to elevate rehabilitation outcomes. You will serve as the clinical authority for PM&R across assigned regions, shaping care delivery at scale. What You'll Do Provide clinical leadership as the physician-of-record for PM&R services across assigned facilities. Conduct structured remote chart reviews, documentation oversight, and compliance audits. Review and co‑sign clinical encounters per state and payer requirements. Establish and maintain physiatric care standards, documentation expectations, and clinical protocols. Offer remote guidance and feedback to therapy teams, APPs, and facility leadership. Identify trends in documentation, care quality, and training needs; lead targeted improvement initiatives. Participate in regular virtual check-ins with clinical operations, compliance, and quality teams. Support onboarding of new clinicians and facilities. Stay current with PM&R guidelines, PDPM requirements, and post‑acute regulatory updates. Provide occasional on‑site support for complex procedures, advanced assessments, or facility needs. Compensation:
Competitive salary, typically $200,000-$350,000 annually, with the final offer dependent on experience, location, and other lawful factors. Performance bonus and/or RVU-based incentive opportunities may be available.
