Job Description

Director, Medical Economics (Remote) A national healthcare organization is seeking a Director-level individual contributor to partner closely with executive leadership and drive high-impact medical economics and analytics initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, advanced analytics, and enterprise problem-solving, supporting critical business priorities across the organization. Overview This is a high-visibility role working directly with senior leadership to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and deliver data-driven solutions that improve performance across markets and product lines.
  • Fully remote (must be based in Eastern or Central time zones)

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify anomalies, trends, and performance gaps, and propose actionable solutions
  • Lead and support complex medical economics and analytics initiatives across the enterprise
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses using healthcare claims and large datasets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure solutions align with business strategy and operational goals
  • Act as a central point of coordination across teams to drive initiatives forward and remove roadblocks
  • Track key deliverables, risks, and outcomes; provide regular updates to leadership
  • Support new business and program implementation efforts, ensuring analytics align with market and contractual needs
  • Drive issue resolution across both isolated and enterprise-wide challenges
  • Contribute to standardization, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Provide ad hoc analytical and strategic support to Medical Economics leadership Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics, within payer or similar environments
  • Advanced technical skillset (SQL, data programming, analytics tools such as Tableau/Power BI)
  • Deep understanding of healthcare claims data, cost drivers, and performance metrics
  • Proven ability to operate as an independent technical expert and strategic problem-solver
  • Strong experience presenting complex analytical findings to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Background
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Experience in consulting environments (valued for adaptability and rigor)
