40.0 Overview A field-based Medical Science Director will support Medical Affairs through compliant scientific exchange, insight gathering, and cross-functional collaboration across oncology and related therapeutic areas (infectious disease, nephrology, acute/critical care). This role partners with HCPs/KOLs, pharmacy leaders, and institutional stakeholders across inpatient/outpatient settings to support medical strategy, evidence generation initiatives, and scientific engagement (congresses, advisory boards, education). Advanced scientific/clinical degree required and oncology experience required. Responsibilities Support medical affairs activities across oncology, infectious disease, nephrology, and acute care through compliant scientific exchange and insight gathering. Engage with healthcare providers, KOLs, pharmacy stakeholders, and institutional decision-makers to foster trusted relationships within inpatient and outpatient settings. Assist in the development and execution of medical strategy, including publication planning and evidence dissemination. Identify and support clinical trial sites, investigators, and referral networks to facilitate study enrollment and execution. Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines. Provide scientific education and training to internal teams and collaborate within a matrix organization to achieve medical objectives. Requirements Advanced healthcare or scientific degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA-C, or equivalent). Preferred 1+ years of field medical/MSL experience in a related role. 1-5+ years of experience within an academic, healthcare, or pharmaceutical setting preferred. Oncology experience required, with additional experience in infectious disease, nephrology, or critical care strongly preferred. Exceptional scientific communication and presentation skills. Strong relationship-building abilities with healthcare providers and institutional stakeholders. Proficiency in scientific literature evaluation, medical data interpretation, and insight gathering. Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. High level of professionalism, integrity, and compliance orientation.
