PA, MD, Washington DC, DE The Medical Science Director is a field-based medical affairs professional responsible for building scientific relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and healthcare systems across oncology and related specialty therapeutic areas. This role serves as a clinical and scientific resource, facilitating evidence-based discussions, gathering medical insights, supporting clinical research initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to help inform medical strategy, education, and patient care. The position combines scientific engagement, healthcare ecosystem collaboration, and medical affairs leadership to support both marketed and pipeline therapies. Responsibilities Support medical affairs activities across oncology, infectious disease, nephrology, and acute care through compliant scientific exchange and insight gathering. Engage with healthcare providers, KOLs, pharmacy stakeholders, and institutional decision-makers to foster trusted relationships within inpatient and outpatient settings. Assist in the development and execution of medical strategy, including publication planning and evidence dissemination. Identify and support clinical trial sites, investigators, and referral networks to facilitate study enrollment and execution. Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines. Provide scientific education and training to internal teams and collaborate within a matrix organization to achieve medical objectives. Requirements Advanced healthcare or scientific degree ( PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA-C, or equivalent). Ability to travel 60-70% across assigned territories Prior clinical experience working with Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) patients Oncology experience a plus, along with additional experience in infectious disease, nephrology, or critical care strongly preferred. Exceptional scientific communication and presentation skills. Strong relationship-building abilities with healthcare providers and institutional stakeholders. Proficiency in scientific literature evaluation, medical data interpretation, and insight gathering. Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. High level of professionalism, integrity, and compliance orientation.
