We are seeking a collaborative and clinically strong Psychiatrist to serve as our Medical Director while also maintaining a limited patient caseload within our
PHP/IOP/OP
continuum.
Position Overview This role combines:
Clinical leadership and supervision Psychiatric evaluations and medication management Program oversight and multidisciplinary collaboration The ideal candidate is a thoughtful clinician who values both: high-quality psychiatric care, and building a healthy clinical culture. Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Serve as Medical Director for PHP, IOP, and OP services Provide psychiatric oversight for patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders Collaborate with clinical director, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and leadership Guide treatment-resistant conditions through advanced interventions including ketamine-assisted treatment or long-acting injectables Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings Support clinical quality, safety, and compliance initiatives Assist with development and refinement of clinical protocols and best practices Provide consultation and guidance to clinical staff as needed Direct Patient Care Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Provide medication management for PHP, IOP, and OP patients Monitor patient progress and treatment response Support crisis assessment and clinical decision-making Document services in accordance with payer and regulatory standards Qualifications Required MD or DO degree Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN) OR completed an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency Active Maryland medical license (or ability to obtain) DEA registration Experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and/or co-occurring conditions in an outpatient setting Strong collaborative and communication skills Preferred Experience in PHP, IOP, or community behavioral health settings Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment Interest in measurement-based care and outcomes-driven treatment Supervisory or leadership experience Schedule & Expectations Up to 20 hours per week Flexible scheduling options available
