Active Florida MD or DO License About Aglow Skincare Aglow Skincare is an established aesthetics practice in Vero Beach with a strong local reputation, a 5-star Google rating, and an existing client base. We are exploring the expansion of our business into Aglow Skincare & Dermatology , a compliant NP-led dermatology and aesthetic skin care model. We are seeking a Florida-licensed, board-certified or board-eligible Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon to serve as a legitimate Medical Director / Supervising Physician . This is not a passive name-only role. We are looking for a physician who values proper protocols, patient safety, documentation, compliance, and appropriate clinical oversight. Position Overview The Medical Director / Supervising Physician will provide clinical oversight for an NP-led dermatology and aesthetic skin care model. The role is designed for a physician who may be interested in a limited, flexible oversight arrangement while helping support a professionally operated and compliant practice expansion. The ideal candidate may be actively practicing, semi-retired, or interested in a part-time medical director role.
Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Provide medical director / supervising physician oversight in accordance with Florida law. Review and approve written clinical protocols and standing orders. Provide oversight for dermatology and aesthetic skin care services. Support NP-led clinical workflows within appropriate scope of practice. Participate in periodic chart review and documentation review. Be available for clinical escalation and consultation as needed. Provide guidance on biopsy, dermatopathology, referral, and escalation protocols. Review patient safety, consent, and compliance-related workflows. Participate in periodic onsite visits or meetings as required. Assist with maintaining a clinically sound and compliant care model.
Qualifications Required:
Active and unrestricted Florida MD or DO license. Board-certified or board-eligible in Dermatology or Plastic Surgery. Comfortable supervising an APRN / NP or PA in a dermatology and/or aesthetic setting. Familiarity with dermatology, aesthetic skin care, biopsy workflows, skin checks, or cosmetic procedures. Willingness to participate in documented oversight, chart review, and protocol review. Ability to carry or confirm malpractice coverage for medical director / supervisory work. Strong commitment to compliance, patient safety, and ethical clinical oversight.
Preferred:
Prior medical director experience. Experience with med spa, aesthetics, dermatology, or hybrid medical/aesthetic practices. Experience supervising nurse practitioners or physician assistants. Interest in supporting a growing local practice with an established client base. Semi-retired or reduced-clinical-schedule physicians are welcome to apply. Compensation Compensation is negotiable based on scope of involvement, chart review requirements, onsite expectations, and clinical oversight responsibilities. Anticipated structure may include a monthly medical director retainer with additional compensation for expanded duties, training, onsite visits, or special projects.
