Bespoke Psychiatry is a growing psychiatric practice looking for a Missouri-licensed psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The Medical Director will serve in a part-time supervisory capacity, providing clinical oversight, chart review, and mentorship to Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) in Psychiatry. While a psychiatry or Geriatrics experience is preferred, it is not required . The primary function of this role is to fulfill essential regulatory supervision requirements. Because our existing leadership team includes a Medical Director and two Psychiatrists, robust clinical backup and specialty support are always available to assist with complex psychiatric questions or tasks. The role is primarily remote and focused on ensuring high-quality clinical documentation, with a strict no-call requirement. While work is conducted virtually, the candidate must reside in or around Rolla, MO, to meet state regulatory requirements. As a Medical Director in our practice, you will be responsible for:
Serve as the supervising physician for a team of NPs and PAs, supporting their growth in clinical judgment and effective treatment.
Chart Review & Sign-off:
Review a designated proportion of provider clinical notes and sign off on charts to ensure clinical accuracy and compliance.
Documentation Quality:
Review provider documentation and offer constructive feedback to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.
Clinical Consultation & Leadership Support Answering Clinical Questions:
Act as an accessible resource for mid-level providers, staffing cases and offering guidance on treatment plans.
Shared Leadership:
Collaborate with our established leadership team—including an existing Medical Director and two Psychiatrists—who are available to absorb complex psychiatric clinical tasks and provide specialty support as needed.
Provider Mentorship:
Provide ongoing mentoring to both new and existing providers to foster professional development. Quality Assurance & Compliance Adherence to
Standards:
Ensure providers adhere to regulatory requirements regarding medication prescribing, order entry, and documentation.
Accountability:
Hold providers accountable to established company protocols and guidelines.
Participate in periodic clinical leadership meetings and collaborate with executive leadership (CEO, CMO, COO) as needed.
Performance Support:
Contribute to objective provider performance reviews and support performance improvement plans if clinical gaps are identified.
Requirements:
MD or DO with active medical license (Missouri licensure preferred or ability to meet state requirements). Must reside in or around Rolla, MO to meet state regulatory requirements. Psychiatry, Behavioral Health, or Geriatrics experience preferred, but not required. Strong communication, mentorship, and leadership skills. Primarily remote; occasional on-site visits may be required for rare circumstances or facility requests. While this position is designed as a part-time supervisory role, we are open to expanding this into a Full-Time position with clinical obligations should the candidate be interested in practicing clinically with our organization.
