Pediatric Medical Director Clermont, FL 34711 Part-time, Contract Part-time, Contract Join Our Mission to Make a Difference in Pediatric Care! Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children with complex medical needs can thrive. At Little Miracles, we pride ourselves on our family-centered care approach, collaborative team culture, and unwavering commitment to excellence in pediatric nursing. We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Director to assist our clinical team and uphold the highest standards of care as defined by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regulations. Responsibilities As required by Florida PPEC regulations, the Medical Director shall: Conduct periodic reviews of services to ensure consistent quality and compliance with accepted medical standards. Maintain a liaison role with the medical community, promoting coordination and collaboration for enhanced continuity of care. Advise on the development of new programs and the modification of existing services to meet the evolving needs of our pediatric population. Ensure medical consultation is available in the event of their absence, securing continuity in clinical leadership. Serve on required committees, in accordance with AHCA rules and the center's internal policies. Consult with the center's administrator regarding the health status of staff, including issues related to communicable disease, infection control, and staff wellness. Review reports of accidents or unusual incidents on the premises and advise the administrator on potential health or safety hazards. Develop and implement policies and procedures for: Emergency physician services Physician coverage when a child's attending provider or designee is unavailable Experience Medical Doctor (MD) licensed in the state of Florida Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required) Minimum 2 years of post-residency experience with medically complex or special needs pediatric populations Strong leadership and policy development skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
