Help Shape the Future of Community Healthcare As our Medical Director of Primary Care Services, you'll be at the forefront of healthcare innovation, reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer. This position plays a vital role in planning and delivering comprehensive primary care services across our organization. This leadership position guides clinicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective healthcare throughout our health center network.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will foster cohesive, productive, and efficient collaboration among medical clinicians to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes and patient access. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor teams of physicians and clinicians across PCHC's primary care locations. Develop and implement clinical strategies aligned with PCHC's mission, vision, and goals. Oversee quality improvement initiatives designed to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery. Partner with the Chief Medical Officer on organizational strategy, growth, and clinical operations. Drive clinical program development and redesign through data-driven decision making. Provide direct patient care as part of the role (approximately 0.2-0.4 FTE). Qualifications Board-certified primary care physician in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or a related primary care specialty. Current MD or DO license in Rhode Island, or eligibility for licensure. Minimum of three years of progressive physician leadership experience. At least five years of clinical practice experience. Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, and developing physicians and clinical teams. Experience utilizing healthcare data and performance metrics to inform clinical strategy and operational improvements. Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintenance of required certifications.
