Interim Clinical Director of Medical/Surgical Unit Needed in Memphis, Tennessee! The Position An Interim Clinical Director of Medical/Surgical Unit is needed to provide operational and clinical leadership for a high-volume inpatient medical/surgical department during a leadership transition. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will oversee a team of approximately 47 FTEs supporting a 48-bed medical/surgical unit. Key responsibilities include improving patient satisfaction scores, increasing staff engagement, supporting recruitment efforts, maintaining quality outcomes, fostering team cohesiveness, and providing a visible leadership presence throughout the department. The ideal candidate will have strong medical/surgical leadership experience, a transformational leadership style, and a proven ability to improve employee engagement and patient experience metrics. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, professional, and approachable. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements BSN required; Master's degree preferred. Active RN license required. Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification required. Minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience, with demonstrated success in medical/surgical operations. Compensation Details Compensation Range:
$160,000 to $170,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
