Job Description

UT Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking a Section Head of the Advanced Heart Failure/LVAD/Transplant section who will serve as the Medical Director of the VAD/Heart transplantation program. Candidates ideally would have previous leadership experience in a heart transplant program. Clinical responsibilities will focus on Advanced Heart Failure, VAD, and Cardiac transplant patients. There is a significant opportunity to participate in teaching and training of fellows and residents, as well as to pursue pertinent clinical or translational investigation. This is an outstanding opportunity for an academic cardiologist to assume a major leadership position at our institution. Candidates must have an M.D. degree, or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school, be eligible for Texas medical licensure, and be board certified in Cardiology and in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant cardiology.
