Medical Director / Psychiatrist

Waco (Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Medical Director | Psychiatrist to lead our clinical team and oversee the delivery of comprehensive mental health services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in psychiatric care, healthcare management, and clinical leadership. As a Medical Director | Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to influence clinical practices, promote innovative treatment approaches, and uphold excellence in mental health services. This role also involves clinical practice in an in-patient setting with an Average Case load of 18 patients while on service. Base salary starts at $350,000 plus full benefits package including PTO, CME, Malpractice coverage and additional incentives. Responsibilities 1.Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for diverse patient populations while ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines. 2.Lead the development and implementation of clinical protocols aligned with healthcare standards such as NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). 3.Oversee medical records management, ensuring accurate documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems in compliance with privacy regulations. 4.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, supervise clinical staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Requirements 1.Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry 2.Valid medical license to practice psychiatry within the state of Texas 3.
