About the Job Leadership & Clinical Practice Opportunity Shared 1:11 Phone Call Rotation Position Overview We are seeking a Medical Director of Primary Care to provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active outpatient practice. This physician leader will oversee primary care operations across multiple clinic locations, support quality improvement initiatives, mentor providers, and collaborate with administrative leadership to enhance patient care and operational excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician seeking a leadership role within a well-established multi-provider primary care network.
Schedule:
Standard weekday schedule. Combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. Shared 1:11 phone-only call rotation. Outpatient practice setting.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Provide medical oversight across multiple primary care locations. Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Standardize evidence-based clinical protocols. Mentor and support physicians and advanced practice providers. Participate in provider recruitment and onboarding. Collaborate with leadership on operational and strategic initiatives. Support value-based care and population health programs.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services. Maintain high-quality patient care standards. Utilize evidence-based treatment practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams.
Requirements:
Required:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Active Vermont Medical License or ability to obtain. DEA Registration. CPR Certification. Minimum 3 years of ambulatory care experience. Previous clinical leadership experience.
