not provided We're looking for a locum tenens emergency medicine physician to cover a one-year assignment in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, from October 1, 2026 to October 1, 2027. You'll be based in a hospital-based critical access ED, working 12-hour shifts (either 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m.) and caring for patients of all ages. What you'll do Provide full coverage of the emergency department, evaluating and treating patients across the acuity spectrum. Perform emergency procedures, stabilize critically ill patients, and deliver basic critical care when needed. Work closely with ED staff and other providers to coordinate care. Keep accurate, timely documentation in Epic. The clinical setting

Critical Access Hospital (no trauma designation)
ED:
8 beds in the emergency department; hospital has 25 inpatient beds total

Standard ED equipment and an experienced team of nurses and staff Logistics & privileges Hospital privileges are required; cross-credentialing at an additional site will be part of the process.
Temporary privileges/credentialing timeline:
to be determined. Compensation & travel Pay rate: TBD Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance will be provided. Required qualifications Active West Virginia medical license Board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) DEA registration Prior emergency medicine experience, including comfort working in a critical access setting Patient population & case mix Care for patients of all ages with common emergency presentations Manage admissions from the ED as part of patient care If you're experienced working independently in a critical access ED, comfortable with emergency procedures and Epic documentation, and available for 12-hour day or night shifts during the assignment window, we'd like to hear from you.
