60080) Job Summary Oversees operations and direction of assigned Primary Care service line. Responsible for operations support, project development, planning, and implementation of new and expanded services in support of Mon Health. Responsible for strategic planning, program development, ensuring policies, protocols, service levels and quality meet and exceed established clinical standards. The director will oversee all existing Primary Care clinics, will support the establishment of new locations, will be responsible for the day-to-day outpatient operations. The director will report to the vice president of physician services and will work collaboratively with hospital staff, nursing and executive leadership to promote the coordination of care between inpatient and outpatient services. ResponsibilitiesJob Skills:

Assesses all aspects of a project and establishes appropriate and achievable deadlines based on thorough research. Anticipates problems and barriers and identifies solutions and takes corrective action before project is implemented.Leadership:
Actively participates as a member of the management team; shares information appropriately, returns telephone calls within one day of receipt, and constructively contributes to committees and teams. Establishes and maintains effective, cooperative relationships with others, including subordinates, peers, supervisors, and customers. Keeps staff informed by conducting staff meetings no less than monthly. Provides written communication that is clear, effective, and in accordance with MHS style guidelines. Prepares staff, as appropriate, for additional responsibility through effective delegation and mentoring. Negotiates to achieve positive business, financial, and/or human resources outcomes. Addresses staff complaints and concerns promptly, and provides proper follow-up to the employee. Identifies developmental opportunities for staff, and encourages and monitors progress. Maintains visibility in the department by regularly monitoring day-to-day work of staff. Effectively researches issues, compares alternatives and risks, and makes appropriate decisions. Responds positively and appropriately to organizational and departmental change. Organization Structures and assigns departmental work in a planned, systematic manner. Accomplishes daily work, as well as annual goals, in an efficient, effective manner within the FTE budget. Maximizes use of e-mail and voice mail functions to communicate clearly with others; routinely responds in a timely manner to messages as appropriate. Effectively and appropriately organizes and manages both long-term goals and projects, as well as short-term daily workflow, in order to meet project deadlines. Consistently arrives promptly for meetings; conducts departmental meetings in an organized fashion; utilizes written agendas. Stores and retrieves personal electronic and paper files efficiently and systematically; routinely purges unnecessary files without prompting. Demonstrates understanding and appropriate use of relevant software applications to accomplish job duties (e.g., Med Series 4, Cerner CIS, MS Word, and Excel). Other Duties Monitors monthly departmental budget variances in FTEs, salary and other expenses; identifies erroneous charges and takes corrective action to ensure achievement of annual budgeted targets, excluding agreed upon extraordinary expenses. Monitors monthly departmental productivity and takes appropriate action to ensure efficient and effective use of staff. Identifies, routinely monitors, and improves key departmental processes (e.g., turnaround, wait, or cycle times, outcomes, and customer satisfaction) to ensure efficient and effective outcomes. Ensures all staff complete orientation and annual mandatory educational requirements in a timely manner. Addresses staff conflicts in a timely, appropriate manner. Identifies need for disciplinary action and follows appropriate policies and procedures. Appropriately recognizes staff accomplishments. Develops and implements a formal departmental staff orientation, training, and ongoing development plan to ensure all staff achieve and maintain the highest levels of competence. Appropriately and promptly addresses staff performance issues. Completes staff performance appraisals on time. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesLight Work:
Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs. 5 years of experience in healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership of project management, operations, data analysis and process improvement. Experience in a large multi-specialty or single specialty physician group practice, integrated health system or multi-site physician practice required.
