Job Description

Dosimetrist I/II•Radiation Oncology (Irvine, CA) Join the transformative team at City of Hope , where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. City of Hope's growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and treatment facilities in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix. As a Dosimetrist I/II, you will conduct CT simulations and create 3-dimensional computer-assisted treatment plans with minimal supervision from staff physicists. Your key duties include performing general patient dosimetry, handling hand calculations for external beam therapy, and managing irregularly shaped field calculations. Additionally, you will prepare data for Total Body Irradiation treatments, perform quality assurance on the treatment planning system, and carry out routine physics QA measurements, ensuring precise and safe radiation treatments for patients. As a successful candidate, you will: Independently assess the necessary dosimetry and physics requirements for fulfilling the physician's prescription Recommend treatment strategies to the physician Contour normal tissues according to physician instructions. Perform CT and conventional simulation procedures Perform 2-D, 3-D, and IMRT treatment planning Digitize and import all beam shaping blocks at the completion of the simulation process Your qualifications should include: Bachelor's Degree required MDCB, or must achieve within 2 years of start date at COH For candidates with >3 years of experiences (Dosimetrist II)
Pay Range:
$64.47/hr•$83.80/hr•$103.16/hr For candidates with < 3 years of experiences (Dosimetrist I)
Pay Range:
