Radiation Oncology Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Dosimetrist to join our Radiation Oncology team. The Dosimetrist plays a critical role in planning and calculating radiation treatment doses, working closely with oncologists, physicists, and radiation therapists to ensure accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and generate treatment plans using advanced planning software in collaboration with the Radiation Oncologist. Accurately calculate and determine optimal radiation doses to achieve effective tumor control while minimizing exposure to healthy tissue. Assist in simulation, contouring, and image fusion processes. Collaborate with medical physicists to ensure all treatment plans meet safety and quality standards. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of treatment parameters and plans. Participate in quality assurance (QA) activities and clinical trials as needed. Stay current with emerging technologies, software, and best practices in radiation oncology.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy, Physics, or a related field. Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Medical Dosimetry program preferred. Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential required (or eligibility within one year). Experience in treatment planning systems such as Eclipse, Pinnacle, or RayStation preferred.
