  • Medical Dosimetrist - Saint Alphonsus - Boise, Idaho
  • Overview
  • The Medical Dosimetrist at Saint Alphonsus is responsible for preparing accurate and effective radiation isodose treatment plans for our physicians.
This role interprets radiologic images and anatomical structures, evaluates dose distribution and dose characteristics, and applies current treatment planning techniques and technologies. The Dosimetrist also contributes to departmental quality assurance processes, participates in brachytherapy procedures, and supports the accuracy and timeliness of all physics and dosimetry-related billing.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Required:
  • + Graduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry program (recognized by JRCERT), _or_ a Certified Radiation Therapist (ARRT) with 2+ years of Medical Dosimetrist experience. + Certification through the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) required within 12 months of eligibility.
  • Preferred:
  • + Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy, Mathematics, or Physics. + Registered Technologist (RT) with ARRT Radiation Therapy (T) certification. + 2-3 years of Medical Dosimetry experience in a cancer treatment setting.
