POSITION OVERVIEW
The Practice Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of two pediatric urgent care clinics within the North Alabama Region, ensuring both locations operate efficiently, deliver exceptional patient experiences, and maintain a collaborative, high-performing team environment. In partnership with regional leadership and centralized support teams, this role will provide operational oversight across both clinics, including staffing, scheduling, patient flow, team engagement, financial performance, and overall clinic success. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on healthcare leader who can balance priorities across multiple locations, build strong relationships with clinicians and team members, and drive consistency, accountability, and operational excellence across the region.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operational Leadership Oversee the day-to-day operations of two pediatric clinic locations within the region, ensuring efficient workflows, operational consistency, compliance with company policies, and an exceptional patient experience across both sites. Manage clinic scheduling, provider templates, staffing coverage, and patient flow across multiple locations to maximize patient access, operational efficiency, and team collaboration. Partner with regional leadership and centralized support teams to implement tools, systems, and process improvements that enhance operational performance and scalability across both clinics. Maintain welcoming, clean, and organized clinic environments that reflect our brand standards and commitment to high-quality pediatric care. Effectively communicate organizational updates and lead teams through operational changes with positivity, transparency, and accountability. Travel between clinic locations as needed to provide hands-on leadership, operational support, and team engagement. Financial & Administrative Oversight Partner with regional and corporate leaders to monitor operational performance, staffing productivity, budgets, and financial goals across two clinic locations. Support accurate coordination of billing, coding, and insurance workflows in collaboration with centralized billing teams to ensure operational and financial efficiency. Oversee inventory management, vendor coordination, and procurement processes for multiple clinics to maintain cost control and operational readiness. Manage employee-related administrative processes including onboarding, offboarding, payroll changes, timecard approvals, and status updates while partnering closely with the People team. Team Leadership & Development Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across both clinic teams. Lead, coach, and support clinical and administrative team members while promoting engagement, professional development, and operational consistency between locations. Partner with the People team to recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing team members across the region. Conduct regular check-ins, provide performance feedback, and address employee concerns in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner. Serve as a trusted leader and advocate for clinicians and team members, ensuring alignment with organizational values, goals, and patient care standards. Patient Experience & Quality Champion an exceptional patient and family experience across both clinics by ensuring care is timely, compassionate, and high quality. Address patient concerns and feedback in partnership with clinic and centralized leadership teams while identifying opportunities for operational improvement. Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to organizational best practices, workflows, and service standards across all assigned locations. Compliance & Collaboration Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal healthcare regulations and safety standards across multiple clinic locations. Collaborate with compliance and quality teams to support audits, training initiatives, and operational readiness efforts. Act as a liaison between clinic teams and national support departments, advocating for operational needs while driving organizational alignment and consistency. Support clinic growth initiatives, community outreach efforts, and regional expansion opportunities as needed.WHAT YOU'LL NEED
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of healthcare experience, preferably within a pediatric, outpatient, or multi-provider clinic setting. 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing clinical and/or administrative teams. Demonstrated experience overseeing operations across multiple clinic locations, departments, or teams preferred. Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, manage workflows across multiple sites, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Experience working within a multi-site or rapidly growing healthcare organization strongly preferred. Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems; athenahealth experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams. Ability to effectively collaborate across regional and centralized teams within a matrixed organization. Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to travel between clinic locations as needed.
