Dental Hygiene Coordinator

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Coordinator to oversee the hygiene department within our dental practice. The ideal candidate will ensure that our hygiene department remains efficiently scheduled on a daily basis. This role requires strong organizational skills and a comprehensive understanding of dental terminology and administrative tasks. Duties Manage daily operations of the hygiene department Oversee scheduling and coordination of hygiene appointments, optimizing patient flow. Verify insurance information and assist patients with their inquiries regarding coverage. Maintain accurate patient records Provide training and support to dental receptionists and front desk staff on hygiene-related procedures. Foster a welcoming environment for patients, addressing their needs with professionalism and care. Requirements Proven experience in office management within a healthcare or dental setting. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is preferred, but we will work with someone who has a great personality and communication skills. Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in insurance verification processes. Experience as a dental receptionist is preferred but not mandatory. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient base. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, so you can easily drop your kids off at school and then come into the office.
