Job Description
Veterinary Hospital Manager Alhambra Veterinary Hospital is seeking a motivated, organized, and people-focused Hospital Manager to help lead our growing small animal practice in Alhambra, California. We are a privately owned, family-oriented veterinary hospital focused on high-quality medicine, strong team culture, and excellent client experience. We are looking for a leader who is proactive, solution-oriented, and passionate about supporting both the medical team and hospital operations. Responsibilities The Hospital Manager will oversee the daily operations of the practice, including: Staff scheduling and workflow management Training and onboarding new employees Conducting team meetings and performance reviews Coaching, accountability, and conflict resolution Supporting employee development and continuing education Overseeing front desk and technician workflow Improving efficiency and client communication Managing hospital policies and SOP implementation Monitoring appointment flow and daily operations Supporting a high standard of patient care and customer service Inventory oversight and vendor management Payroll support and basic financial reporting Monitoring KPIs and hospital performance Managing controlled substance compliance and ordering OSHA and safety compliance Maintaining employee and hospital records Supporting licensing and regulatory requirements Assisting with technology systems and hospital processes Qualifications Previous veterinary hospital management experience preferred Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification preferred, but not required Candidates actively pursuing CVPM certification are encouraged to apply Experience leading teams in a veterinary setting strongly preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Ability to multitask and lead a team in a fast-paced environment Experience with EzyVet or other veterinary software is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Employee pet care discounts Continuing education support, including support for CVPM development Paid time off Health benefits available Supportive leadership team and positive culture Schedule Full-time position.
