Job Description

About the Opportunity A surgeon launching a new private practice is seeking an experienced, highly organized Practice Manager & Surgical Coordinator to play a key role in building and managing the practice from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who has both strong surgical scheduling experience and medical office management experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable overseeing both patient coordination and day-to-day practice operations in a growing solo practice environment.

As an out-of-network practice, we provide concierge-level patient support and prioritize a high-touch patient experience throughout the surgical journey.

Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Management & OperationsHelp establish and oversee daily operations for a new solo surgical practice Implement office workflows, scheduling systems, and administrative processes Coordinate with billing, credentialing, vendors, and external service providers as needed Manage front-office operations and ensure smooth day-to-day workflow Serve as a primary point of contact between the surgeon, patients, hospitals, and surgery centers Help support practice growth and operational efficiency Surgical CoordinationCoordinate and schedule surgical cases with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, anesthesia teams, and surgical staff Manage the surgeon's clinic and operating room schedule Guide patients through the full surgical process, including: Pre-operative preparation Surgical scheduling timelines Financial expectations Post-operative coordination Communicate professionally with patients, clinical staff, and facility scheduling departments Ensure surgical scheduling accuracy and timely completion of required documentation QualificationsMinimum 3 years of surgery scheduling and/or medical practice management experience required Experience working in a surgical or specialty medical practice strongly preferred Experience helping manage or build a private practice preferred Experience scheduling surgeries at Cedars-Sinai or major Los Angeles hospitals preferred Familiarity with Epic EMR or other EMR systems preferred Spanish-speaking strongly preferred Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and take ownership in a startup-style practice environment Experience with out-of-network insurance workflows or patient financial coordination is a plus Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is:
