POSITION SUMMARY
CVS Supervisors are considered "working" supervisors. This means they will maintain a regular presence on the floor with regularly scheduled shifts. Supervisors will have time scheduled off the floor for administrative responsibilities as needed. Supervisors are expected to maintain oversight, leadership, and management of staff members within their particular Service and within the hospital in general. Supervisors are responsible for training and/or oversight of training staff members within their department as well as the other services as needed. They are responsible to designate, train, and supervise Floor Leaders. CVS Supervisors handle staff issues as soon as time permits. Avoid delays and communicate with the Practice Manager to find solutions to the issues in a timely manner. Address performance problems through corrective action and dismissal with approval of Practice Manager. CVS Supervisors understand and support diversity; and established an effective team. Essential Job Functions As a Supervisor, you are expected to have the ability and possess the knowledge of the following: Leadership Management skills Working closely with the Practice Manager in regards to interviewing, hiring and terminations Scheduling Training - utilizing the hospital internal training check list Seek guidance from Practice Manager when a disciplinary action is needed Present for employee yearly reviews with Practice Manager Time and Attendance Monitoring Attend Supervisors and Staff Meetings on time Audit Time clock and attendance for payroll on a weekly basis Team player with other supervisors and management personnel Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Training skills Approachable to staff members when they have concerns Assertiveness Leadership skills Management skills Excellent communication skills Communication with staff Communication with Practice Manager Communication with Chief of Service Professionalism Integrity Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude when in front of staff and doctors Do not engage in unprofessional conversation/hearsay about staff/doctors Do not discuss personal matters at work Team Player Maintains confidentiality, i.e., patient, client and staff member information Able to communicate in a clear, courteous and professional manner with doctors, staff members and clients in a courteous and professional manner Willingness and ability to learn new skills Punctual, reliable and flexible Education and Experience:
