This vital role combines administrative leadership with patient-centered treatment coordination, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong management skills, and possess a comprehensive understanding of dental office workflows, medical administrative support, and healthcare management systems. Duties Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, billing, and patient flow management to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction Coordinate treatment plans with patients, explaining procedures clearly, scheduling appointments, and ensuring understanding of financial responsibilities Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, and billing processes using systems like Open Dental or Dentrix Supervise office staff, including training, performance evaluations, human resources functions, and fostering a positive team environment Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks Monitor clinic performance metrics, implement process improvements, and uphold standards aligned with JCAHO accreditation requirements Handle insurance verifications, managed care coordination, and utilization management to optimize revenue cycle management Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations to support effective communication across the team Qualifications Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare management with a strong background in medical administrative support Supervising experience in a clinical setting is essential; previous roles in dental clinics or medical offices are highly preferred Proficiency with practice management software such as Open Dental or Dentrix. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, medical records management, and healthcare regulations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment Knowledge of medical billing procedures, budgeting, financial management, and human resources practices.
