This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in medical office management, patient coordination, and financial oversight to create a seamless, patient-centered experience. Your energetic leadership will ensure efficient clinic functioning, foster a welcoming environment, and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. Duties Oversee all administrative functions within the dental practice, including scheduling, patient intake, and record management using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Coordinate treatment plans with patients, explaining procedures clearly and ensuring understanding of financial responsibilities. Manage fiscal operations including budgeting, billing, coding, insurance claims processing, and collections to optimize revenue flow. Supervise office staff, including receptionists, dental assistants, and hygienists; provide training and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all medical records and patient information. Facilitate communication between clinical staff and patients to enhance patient satisfaction and retention. Support human resources functions such as hiring, onboarding new team members, and managing employee schedules. Monitor clinic operations for efficiency improvements; implement best practices in healthcare management and office management. Utilize practice management software like eClinicalWorks or Epic to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy. Assist in acute care scenarios by coordinating patient flow during emergencies while adhering to healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements. Qualifications Proven experience in dental office management or medical administrative support within a healthcare setting; dental clinic experience is highly preferred. Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing teams within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with Epic is a plus. Solid understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards. Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, billing procedures, managed care processes, and revenue cycle management. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with patients, staff, insurance providers, and external vendors. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a busy clinical environment. Knowledge of nursing practices or acute care procedures is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant healthcare experience enhances your candidacy.
