Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Position Purpose:

Back Office Lead•Medical Assistant to provide basic supervision and leadership to the clinical staff. Accountable for the daily operations of the back office, supervision of the clinical staff, communication, and interoffice coordination to ensure service quality.

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

Establish and maintain the daily staffing levels of the back office to ensure appropriate coverage. MA schedules Ensure daily lunch coverage. Ordering weekly/biweekly/monthly supply orders Huddles with staff daily/weekly/monthly Provide guidance, coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution amongst back-office staff. Train and shadow all new staff to ensure employees receive proper orientation and skill competency evaluations. Monitor and assess the patient's workflow and provide feedback for potential improvements. Ensure that all exam rooms and MA workstations are stocked, and all IT equipment is in working order. Initiate IT support tickets or maintenance work orders as needed. Work collectively with the Clinic Manager Assist the Clinic Manager with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of potential candidates. Timesheets Performance evaluations Work with providers to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow. Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Medical Assistant Certification from American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA•AAMA) is required. CPR certification is required. Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinic setting Bilingual in English and Spanish EMR experience a plus Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written Able to work with minimum supervision
